Man sought for alleged involvement in reported assault on bus bound for Ocean View

A 20-something allegedly involved in a recent reported assault on a public transportation bus while it was headed to Ocean View on the Big Island is sought by Hawai‘i Island police for questioning.

Authorities ask the public if they can help identify the suspect or might have additional information about the incident.

The man is Micronesian, in his 20s, with a short mustache and goatee. He was last seen near the 92-8000 block of Hawai‘i Belt Road, exiting a Hele-On bus following the assault, wearing a black hoodie, black jeans, black sunglasses and white baseball cap.
